I am a retired director from the University of Connecticut’s Waterbury campus. Prior to my work at the university, I was a special assistant to the State (Connecticut) Commissioner of Education.

My wife and I have resided at Steeplechase, Middlebury since 1997. I have served as president and member of the Steeplechase Board of Directors for ten years and in that capacity I have worked very closely with Melissa on a variety of management, property and personnel issues.

Her monthly budget reports are very accurate. Melissa’s budget support documents are the backbone for all boards forecasting workshops.

Melissa’s work ethic, communications ability and dedication are superior. Our director’s meetings are well organized, minutes are accurate and distributed in a timely manner. She returns calls to members in a very professional and friendly manner. I have never had a complaint from our unit owners concerning her responsiveness to their needs She services the owners well extending a generous amount of patience to a client group that all too often can be exceptionally impatient.
